Brackley Country Market

Saturday mornings from 10am – 12pm – at The Library

Brackley Country Market began as Brackley W.I. Market, out on the Brackley Market Square more than 50 years ago. It was a means of Women earning some ‘pocket money’ by selling their excess vegetables, soft fruit, salad, apple & pears etc.

Cakes, bakes, fruit pies and savouries were then sold along with jam and preserves and this is still what we sell today. Along with homemade crafts and plants that have been grown in our gardens.

We are a Country wide, cooperative, with about 200 plus markets, all selling our own products for a few hours a week in a local venue.

We are always looking for new producers and of course more customers.

Here at Brackley Country Market, we take orders for Gluten Free, Dairy Free and other dietary bakes. Celebration and Christmas cakes too. If you order £20 or more of products for your freezer etc. we will deliver free in Brackley.

As we are volunteers, it’s always an interesting visit to see what’s on offer fresh from the gardens at the market unless of course it has been ordered. Small portions as well as large portions are available –

So it is a different experience, than popping to the supermarket!!

It is a great way to socialize, earn some pocket money and know your customers enjoy our  home made, home grown and hand crafted products – real Artisans!!

So, when we are all attending you will find:

Cakes, sponges, bakes, coolies, Chelsea Buns etc.

Jams, Preserves, Local honey

Fresh local meat and products

FREE range Eggs

Garden Plants, SEASONAL vegetables

Bunches flowers

Handmade jewellery, cards, handmade knits and sewn items.

ALL home made, home grown and hand crafted – you are welcome to join us – At least, basic foundation certificate FOOD HYGIENE needed for baking. We can help and organise these for you.
